Barthelson Plaza, the site of Audio Video Systems’ headquarters, a LEED-certified building. Green features include: Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) and top quality glass will help stabilize and maintain internal temperature both in winter and summer. Agricultural well will pump more than 100,000 gallons of water per day to reduce public water consumption, cool the building and irrigate all 7.5 acres. Titanium dioxide painted exterior will help neutralize and sterilize volatile organic compounds and other dangerous air pollutants on the property and the surrounding area. Photovoltaic roof to harness solar energy that will be used for electricity within the building. The site is managed by VA Green Grocer, an organic farming business owned and operated by the Barthelson family, to achieve a sustainable, fertile and green zone. A full food and catering service is available for AVS staff and the conference facilities.
